About HIGO CANVAS
HIGO CANVAS is a regional acceleration program that discovers and supports entrepreneurs driving new industry creation in the Kumamoto area, putting "entrepreneurs first" and providing growth support tailored to each company's needs.
The program aims to build a Kumamoto Startup Ecosystem — nurturing startups born in Kumamoto, on Kumamoto soil, with warm and thorough community-led support.
Our Adopted Project
The project selected for the program is: developing a donation platform to help community cafeterias (kodomo shokudo) operate sustainably.
Community cafeterias play a vital role in providing warm meals to children in the community, but securing operational funding is an ongoing challenge. We are building a platform that makes it easy to collect donations and simple for operators to manage.
What We Aim For
- Creating a stable funding mechanism for community cafeteria operations
- A transparent platform that connects donors directly with community cafeterias
- Supporting the formation of sustainable local communities
Next Steps
Through the HIGO CANVAS program, we will grow the business with support from mentoring, workshops, and fundraising assistance.
By tackling local challenges in Kumamoto, we aim to contribute to building a better society.
